Jan Baas was a Dutch baseball player who served as a catcher for the Netherlands national baseball team between 1934 and 1952. He participated in the team's first official international match on August 26, 1934, against Belgium, where he achieved five hits in six at-bats despite the team's loss. Baas represented the national team a total of sixteen times, with fourteen appearances before World War II, holding the record for the most international games played in that period. He played for Haarlem's HHC club in the major league.
