Jamila Abdallah Taha al-Shant (also known as Um Abdullah) was a Palestinian teacher, university professor, and politician. Born on March 15, 1957, she served as a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council's second session representing the Change and Reform Bloc. She was one of the leaders of Hamas and held a position on the movement's political bureau. Al-Shant was also listed as a target for assassination by Israel due to her prominent role in Palestinian politics. She passed away on October 19, 2023.
