Jamīl Ṣalībā (1902 - 1976) was an Arab writer and philosopher born in 1902 in al-Qar'oon, Lebanon. He moved with his family to Damascus in 1908. Along with Qudri Touqan and Omar Farroukh, he is recognized for his significant contributions to science and the Arabic scientific heritage, according to Dr. Yahya Abdul Raouf Jabr, a professor of Arabic at An-Najah National University. The three were instrumental in highlighting the contributions of Muslims, particularly Arabs, to human progress from the 8th century to the late 17th century.
