Sir James Ferguson Skea, commonly known as Jim Skea, is a British energy scientist born on September 1, 1953, in Dundee, Scotland. He served as a Professor of Sustainable Energy at Imperial College London until 2023. In July 2023, he became the Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), where he is expected to lead the organization through its seventh assessment report.
