James Lees-Milne (August 6, 1908 - December 28, 1997) was an English writer and rural property expert. He worked for the National Trust from 1936 to 1973. Lees-Milne was not only an architectural historian but also a novelist and biographer, contributing significantly to the documentation and appreciation of the English countryside and its heritage.
