James R. Fleming is an English author born on February 26, 1944, in London. He is the son of travel writer Peter Fleming and the nephew of Ian Fleming, the spy author. Living in the remote North of Scotland for two decades, he began writing his Charlie Doig Russian series. His notable works include historical novels and thrillers, as well as 'Bond behind the Iron Curtain,' which critiques Ian Fleming's work. Since 2018, he has edited 'The Book Collector,' contributing significantly to literary discussions.
