Jaime Jaramillo Escobar, known as X-504, was a Colombian poet, editor, workshop facilitator, and translator born on May 25, 1932, in Pueblorrico. A co-founder of the Nadaísmo literary movement with Gonzalo Arango, he significantly influenced Colombian literature and art during the 1960s. His work is characterized by irony, sarcasm, parodic play, popular language, irreverence, and a sententious tone, wherein he satirizes society, its customs, and institutions. He passed away on September 10, 2021, in Medellín.
