After receiving his education at Allahabad University, he started his career as a Hindi lecturer in various colleges in Madhya Pradesh, including Satna, Rewa, Bareli, and Sehore. He served as Professor and Head of the Hindi department at the Govt. Arts & Science Post-Graduate College, Ratlam for ten years and then held the position of principal for thirteen years from 1981.
