Dr. Jacob van Sluis, born on September 13, 1953, in Frjentsjer, is a theologian and philosopher. He contributes to the Heidegger series with Alfred Denker and Harald van Veghel and writes articles and reviews for Filosofy magazine. He serves as a collection maker at the University Library of Groningen and at Tresoar in Leeuwarden. He studied Theology and Philosophy at the RUG, producing a dissertation on Martin Heidegger, and worked at Utrecht University and the Theological University of Kampen. He also contributes to the Nieuwe Encyclopedie van Fryslân.
