John Gordon Young, known as Jack Young, was a New Zealand cricketer active from 1922 to 1924. He played first-class cricket for Canterbury, achieving a highest score of 35 in his debut match. Young also demonstrated exceptional skill in a non-first-class match, scoring 238 not out. Beyond his playing career, he became an umpire, officiating in three first-class matches during the 1930s and 1940s. Young was married to Violet and had one son. He passed away in March 1949.
