John Edward Ker is a Scottish former cricketer and administrator, born on October 17, 1952, in Kelso. A former club cricketer for Kelso Cricket Club, he debuted in Scotland's first-class team in 1977 and played until 1988, notably against Ireland. As a bowling all-rounder, he scored 189 runs and took 19 wickets in first-class cricket. He served as President of Cricket Scotland from 2012 to 2013 and held a similar position at Kelso Cricket Club. Outside cricket, he worked as a schoolteacher and in the insurance industry.
