Jacinto Sagarna Urrutxurtu, known as Gorbeiako artzaina, was a Basque shepherd and weather forecaster born on September 11, 1935, in Zeanuri, Bizkaia, and who passed away on September 15, 2018, in Abadiño, Bizkaia. He spent long months in the mountains as a shepherd from the age of nine and also worked as a sheep farmer in Zeanuri. He gained fame for his weather forecasting by studying the weather patterns and recording temperatures on various points of Mount Gorbeia, which led to annual media coverage of his seasonal forecasts.
