Jacob Leendert Dirk (Jaap) van der Linde (1938-2024) was a Dutch mayor and administrator for the Labour Party (PvdA). He studied economics and social work, and worked in social welfare. He served as mayor of multiple municipalities, including Kortgene and Hoogezand-Sappemeer. Van der Linde held various board positions, notably in sports, and was knighted in 1999. After retirement in 2000, he moved to Belgium. He passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 85.
