Jaakko Juhani Halmekoski (24 June 1928 – 26 September 2021) was a Finnish professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Helsinki from 1967 to 1992. He specialized in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry. Prior to his professorship, he served as an associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry from 1964 to 1967. Halmekoski graduated as a student in 1948, completed a Bachelor of Philosophy in 1954, a Licentiate in 1956, and earned his doctorate in 1959, all from the University of Helsinki.
