Ivan Jakubec is a Czech historian specializing in the history of technology, transport, and infrastructure. He graduated from Charles University in Prague in 1984 and has been involved with the university since 1990. Currently, he is the deputy director of the Institute of Economic and Social History. Jakubec served as the vice-dean for science and research and later as pro-rector for academic qualifications and doctoral studies. His research focuses on modern economic history, specifically railway and river transport in the Czech and German regions.
