Banyai contributed illustrations to various prominent publications and produced animated shorts for Nickelodeon and MTV Europe. His artistic style combined Viennese retro influences with American pop culture. After living in several countries, he settled in rural Connecticut, where he lived with his family until his death from lung cancer on December 15, 2022.
