She graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design and is widely known by her nickname, Iriya, rather than her real name. Atsuko is a pioneering figure in the 'Girls Rock' movement. She is married to actor Daisuke Yamazaki and is a mother of two, having a brother as well.
