Ilya Vladimirovich Tolstoy (June 29, 1930 – May 16, 1997) was a Soviet and Russian philologist, professor, and candidate of philological sciences. He served as the head of the Department of Stylistics of the Russian Language at the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Ilya was a great-grandson of the famous writer Leo Tolstoy through his son Ilya. Posthumously, he was awarded the M. V. Lomonosov Prize of the first degree for his work "Paths and Destinies: A Family Chronicle of the Tolstoys."
