Ilona Mauritzová is a Czech university educator born on December 29, 1959, in Chomutov. She served as the rector of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen from 2011 to 2015. Mauritzová was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, she was the governor of the Plzeň Region from 2020 to 2022 and served as a councilor for the city of Pilsen from 2018 to 2022. She is a member of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS).
