Ian Wheeler (13 January 1931 – 27 June 2011) was a British saxophonist known for his work in traditional jazz, playing both alto and soprano saxophone, as well as clarinet. He started with guitar and ukulele before performing with various jazz bands. Notable groups he played with include Ken Colyers Jazzmen and Chris Barber's Jazz & Blues Band. He was also a co-leader of the Rod Mason-Ian Wheeler Band and participated in the revival group Best Of British later in his career. Wheeler passed away at the age of 80.
