Ian Shuttleworth is a retired Northern Irish theatre critic and author, born on July 6, 1963, in Belfast. He served as a senior theatre critic for the Financial Times from May 2007 to March 2019 and was the editor and publisher of Theatre Record magazine from 2004 to 2016. Educated in English literature, he also contributed to various publications like The Sunday Times and The Guardian. His notable works include the unauthorised biography 'Ken & Em' and contributions to critical companions about Buffy and Angel. He moved to Germany in March 2019.
