Ian McInnes (1901–1977) was an Australian tennis player and medical doctor. He participated in the 1923 U.S. Championships, where he was defeated in the second round, and notably upset two-time Wimbledon champion Gerald Patterson at the 1924 Australasian Championships. Despite Patterson's injury affecting his performance, McInnes reached the quarter-finals but lost to Richard Schlesinger. He also lost in the second round of the 1927 Australian Championships to Rice Gemmell. Later, in 1967, he attended Patterson's funeral.
