Ian Hetherington was a British businessman and co-founder of Psygnosis, a video game development company known for titles like Shadow of the Beast, Wipeout, and Lemmings. Established in Liverpool, Psygnosis rose from the remnants of Imagine Software, where Hetherington served as financial director. The company was later acquired by Sony in 1993 and rebranded as Studio Liverpool. Hetherington also served as president of Evolution Studios and Realtime Worlds, and he was an enthusiast for Ferrari cars. Hetherington passed away on December 14, 2021.
