Ian Ainsworth Cook, born on May 1, 1960, is an esteemed American psychiatrist affiliated with UCLA. He serves as an associate professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine. In addition to his teaching role, Cook is a research scientist at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and the Brain Research Institute at UCLA. He directs the UCLA Depression Research Program and is the associate director of the UCLA Laboratory of Brain, Behavior, and Pharmacology. He holds the Joanne and George Miller & Family Chair in Depression Research.
