He serves as the Physician to Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III and as a consultant at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Additionally, he is a Professor of Gastrointestinal Genetics at Imperial College London and St Mark’s Hospital. In 2005, he became a doctor to the Royal Household and was appointed Head of the Medical Household in July 2014, overseeing the medical department for the British monarchy.
