Hugo de Araújo Faria was a Brazilian politician born in Rio de Janeiro on December 13, 1915. He served as the Minister of Labor, Industry, and Commerce under President Getúlio Vargas from February 24 to August 24, 1954. In 1961, he became the Deputy Chief of the Civil Household of the Presidency under President João Goulart and held this position on an interim basis, while simultaneously serving as the president of the National Council of the Social Service of Industry (SESI). He passed away on August 24, 1987.
