Hugh Patrick Lygon (2 November 1904 – 19 August 1936) was the second son of William Lygon, 7th Earl Beauchamp. He was a close friend of author Evelyn Waugh during their time at Oxford, often incorrectly thought to be the inspiration for Lord Sebastian Flyte in 'Brideshead Revisited'. Waugh clarified to the Lygon family that this was not true. Lygon was also president of the Hypocrites' Club, which included contemporaries such as Robert Byron and the Plunket Greene brothers, Richard and David, with whom he shared strong friendships.
