Hubertus Marinus de Jonge, born on August 30, 1937, in Hoedekenskerke, is a Dutch politician affiliated with the KVP and later the CDA. After obtaining his gymnasium diploma, he studied philosophy and theology in Belgium but did not complete his studies. He graduated in law from Utrecht University and initially worked in law for three years. He served as a councilor and subsequently as mayor of Montfoort and Willeskop. Following a merger of municipalities, he became the mayor of Sassenheim until health issues led to his departure in 1994.
