Howard Eli Haber is an American theoretical physicist born on February 3, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), obtaining his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in 1973, and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1978. He has held various academic positions at institutions like Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he became a Professor in 1990. He is known for his work on the Higgs boson physics and beyond Standard Model theories.
