Howard Crossett was an American bobsled pilot born in Essex on July 22, 1918, who competed in the early 1950s. He participated in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, where he won a silver medal in the four-man bobsleigh event. Crossett teamed up with fellow athletes Stanley Benham, Patrick Martin, and James Atkinson in this competition. He passed away on June 30, 1968, in Lebanon.
