Horacio Basterra was a Uruguayan lyricist born on March 19, 1914, in Montevideo. Using the pseudonym Horacio Sanguinetti, he became a respected figure in the Argentine tango genre. Throughout his career, he wrote approximately 150 songs spanning various rhythms and styles. Some of his most notable works include 'Nada', 'Arlette', 'Moneda de cobre', 'Tristeza marina', and 'Los despojos'. He passed away on December 19, 1957, in Montevideo.
