He is best known for his novel 'La Caja Idiota,' which explores the life of a man who becomes obsessively in love with his television, going to the extent of seeking legal rights to marry it under the premise that it possesses human qualities. Sepúlveda was tragically murdered in Paris on March 2, 1986, following an incident where he attempted to hit a child for spilling beer on him in a restaurant.
