Hiroshi Daimaru (born February 3, 1933 – March 17, 2017) was a Japanese ethnologist known for his research in clothing culture and comparative life history. He served as an emeritus professor at both the National Museum of Ethnology and the Graduate University for Advanced Studies. From 1979 to 1995, he led the MCD project, which developed and published the digital archive of clothing and adornment cultural materials.
