K.H. Hilmi Aminuddin (1947-2020) was a prominent Indonesian Islamic scholar and the founder of the dakwah movement known as Harakah Tarbiyah. He served as the Chairman of the Majelis Syuro of Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS). After his education at various pesantren and graduating from the Faculty of Sharia at the Islamic University of Madinah, he embarked on a career of dakwah. In 1998 he helped establish PKS, which later gained significant political influence. Hilmi passed away on June 30, 2020, due to COVID-19 complications.
