Heribert Maria Nobis was a German historian of science and editor of the complete works of Nicolaus Copernicus. Born on May 11, 1924, in Cologne and passing away on February 6, 2017, in Ebersberg, Bavaria, he was tasked in the early 1970s with producing a critical edition of Copernicus's works. He secured a position at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, where he oversaw the publication of several volumes from 1974 to 2007, contributing significantly to the study of Copernicus.
