H.J. (Henk) over de Linden was a Dutch politician from the Labour Party (PvdA). Born on August 31, 1923, in Enkhuizen, he began his political career as the receiver and chief secretary of Beets and Oudendijk. He served as the mayor of Graft and De Rijp from 1966, later becoming the first mayor of the merged Graft-De Rijp. Over de Linden was mayor of Weesp from 1975 to 1986 and served as acting mayor of Muiden from 1990 to 1991. He published a book on 19th-century mayors of Weesp and ceased his volunteer work at age 98.
