Henk Misset was a Dutch economist born in Amsterdam on January 5, 1922, and he passed away on April 23, 2015. He studied economic sciences at the University of Amsterdam, obtaining his doctorate in 1961. Misset served as a professor at the same university, where he also became the first director of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study from 1970 to 1986. He collaborated with his wife, philosopher Else Margarete Barth, to write a book examining the relationship between men and feminism. Misset was also a founding member of the Man Vrouw Maatschappij movement.
