Helga Arntzen is the executive director and chairperson of Aktive Fredsreiser in Risør, Norway. She initiated the establishment of the White Buses to Auschwitz in 1992 and founded Aktive Fredsreiser in 1998. Since then, nearly 150,000 young people have participated in peace trips aimed at combating the spread of neo-Nazism in Norway. Her work contributes to youth understanding of the Holocaust and its implications regarding racism and intolerance. Arntzen has received several accolades for her peace work, including the King's Medal of Merit in 2006 and the Willy Brandt Prize in 2022.
