Hekisen Yō, also known as Yang Bichuan, is a Taiwanese independence activist, historical researcher, and thinker. He earned pen names such as Yang Mofu and Gao Yige. In 1970, during his high school years, he was involved in the Feihong League Incident, leading to a seven-year imprisonment in the Green Island Political Prison for alleged plans to overthrow the government. After his release, he continued to participate in anti-Kuomintang movements and is known as a member of the Democratic Progressive Party's New Tide faction called 'Shibafiying', advocating for Taiwanese independence as a core principle.
