Heidi Becker, later known as Ramlow, was a German diver born on November 21, 1954, in Rostock. She became the European Champion in platform diving for East Germany in 1970. Becker won multiple DDR championships in both springboard and platform diving throughout the early 1970s and competed in the 1972 and 1976 Olympics, finishing eighth and fourth respectively. She was coached by Max Kinast. Tragically, she took her own life on February 13, 1987, following her husband's departure.
