His best Olympic result was an eighth-place finish in the four-man bobsled event at the 1952 Oslo Olympics. Tomasi also placed twelfth in the four-man event and fifteenth in the two-man event at the 1948 Winter Olympics. At the 1964 Winter Olympics, he ranked sixteenth in the four-man event and eighteenth in the two-man event.
