Heather Bond Somers, born on April 22, 1966, is an American politician and member of the Connecticut State Senate for the 18th District since 2017. She has previously held positions as the Mayor of Groton from 2012 to 2014 and as a council member on the Groton Town Council from 2008 to 2018. Apart from her political career, she is a mother to three children and is married to Mark Somers, a cardiologist.
