John Hayden Howard was an American science fiction author born on December 19, 1925, in Santa Barbara, California, and he passed away there on October 23, 2014. He is known for his only novel, The Eskimo Invasion, published in 1967, which received a nomination for the Nebula Award in 1968. Additionally, the short story of the same title also earned nominations for both the Hugo and Nebula Awards.
