Hasmik Gharayan is an Armenian poet, freedom fighter, and participant in the Nagorno-Karabakh movement. Born on March 8, 1941, in Dahrav, she is a member of the Writers' Union of Armenia and Artsakh. In 2003, she became the president of the charitable organization 'Democratic Armenians'. Since 1988, Gharayan has been actively involved in the movement for Artsakh's freedom, stepping in for her son, Arthur Mesropyan, who fell in the fight for liberation.
