Hartmut Dierschke (July 11, 1937 – December 19, 2022) was a German vegetation scientist and a professor of biology. His areas of expertise included the vegetation of Central Europe, syntaxonomy (taxonomy of plant communities), symphenology (rhythms of vegetation), syndynamics (vegetation development), biomonitoring (long-term observation), and conservation-regeneration. Throughout his career, he contributed to the understanding and classification of plant communities and the dynamics of vegetation in various ecosystems.
