Harold Moody was a British shot putter and discus thrower born on November 1, 1915, in Camberwell. He competed in shot put at the 1948 London Olympics but did not advance beyond the qualification round. At the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland, he won a silver medal in shot put and placed seventh in discus throw. Moody achieved his personal best in shot put with a distance of 14.32 m on February 27, 1950, in Nelson. He passed away on September 12, 1986, in Auckland, New Zealand.
