Mikael Ulf Hans Thomsson is a Swedish damask weaver born on February 4, 1969. He grew up in Hemse, Gotland, and studied at Väfskolan in Borås from 1990 to 1992, and at Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio in Florence in 1998. He worked at Klässbols linen weaving mill from 1992 to 1998, weaving the royal cloth 'Kungaduken' for King Carl XVI Gustaf's 20th anniversary. He has collaborated with artists like Andreas Eriksson and Kazuyo Nomura, and since 2001, he has lived and worked in Mariestads kommun.
