Hans Prinz was a German electrical engineer born on December 1, 1907, and passed away on January 8, 1978. He worked at Siemens-Schuckert in Nuremberg and later contributed to the Technical University of Munich after World War II, focusing on high-voltage engineering. He proposed a new institute which influenced later designs. From 1951 to 1953, he established the high-voltage department at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. He was also an honorary doctor of ETH Zurich and supervised Walter Zaengl's doctoral studies.
