Hans-Joachim Pancherz was a notable German aviator and test pilot born on April 15, 1914, in Bytom, Upper Silesia. He served as a flight instructor and later a test pilot during the 1930s and became known for ejecting from an aircraft mid-flight in 1943. He worked extensively for Junkers, contributing to several aircraft projects, including the Ju 390. After World War II, he continued his aviation career in Sweden and retired in 1979. Pancherz passed away on May 4, 2008, at the age of 94.
