Han Awal (also known as Han Hoo Tjwan) was an Indonesian architect born on September 16, 1930, and passed away on May 14, 2016. He gained notable recognition for designing the National Archives Museum building, which earned him the International Award of Excellence from UNESCO. His prominent works include the Atma Jaya Catholic University campus in Semanggi and the Pangudi Luhur school building in Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta. He also played a role in the construction of the Conference of New Emerging Forces building from 1964 to 1972, now known as the DPR/MPR building.
